The Great Rebuild

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going well.

I had my first trip to Lismore yesterday since the floods and even after a fair amount of rubble and debris being cleared it still looks like a war-zone. Lismore Airport Cargo is being run out of a car, TNT off a desk whilst the office has been demolished, the army tents are set up in Big-Box carparks. The level of determination to get back up and running is impressive. They estimate approximately 11,500 truckloads of rubbish will be cleared into the quarry in Alstonville – so it’s a constant convey of trucks up and down the Bruxner - it truly is mind-blowing. There is a fund-raiser being held next week where 100% of the proceeds will go back to the impacted communities - and no matter where you are in the country, you can sponsor a table even if you can’t attend. I’ve attached the link to it below.

With all this rain, and another 10 days forecast, plants have turned into triffods. Our Bangalow Palms are looking amazing and running at 1m+ out of the pot. We have some lovely 270mm, 200mm and 170mm Pothos baskets available – including Marble Queen and Goldilocks as well as 200mm totems including Silver Swords and Brasils. We have some luscious looking multi-planted 300mm Ficus available in Lyrata, Ruby and Tineke as well as lots of their 200mm cousins. Aspidistras are living their best life, as are the cordylines - the Negra are truly gorgeous.

Have a great week.

Lynne
